I have been married to my lovely wife Sharon, a former substitute teacher in the Rocky View Schools, for 42 years. Both of our children attended Rocky View Schools from K to 12 and received an excellent education which allowed them to continue onto post secondary degrees.
I’ve been involved in numerous activities and groups throughout the city, from coaching both my son and daughter in soccer, as a director on the Festival of Lights, President of the Friends of the Airdrie Public Library, volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club, founding member and vice-chair for Airdrie Pride, chair of Airdrie Housing, to chairing A.E. Bowers School council. This has provided me a greater insight into the wants and needs of the citizens of Airdrie. Also, being a local business owner gave me the opportunity to view the city from a different perspective.
My 15 years on Airdrie City Council were an amazing and rewarding experience. I firmly believe that my council experience was an enormous asset to my trustee duties. With your support, I eagerly look forward to continuing as a Rocky View School Trustee. On October 20th, I’m asking for your vote to allow me to carry on as one of your school trustees and have you join me in “Growing Airdrie’s Future”.
